The tech-focused book club was created to provide a curated, developer-centric reading experience that goes beyond traditional book lists. Developers often struggle to find engaging, relevant reading materials or communities to discuss them. This platform addresses that gap by combining personalized recommendations, interactive features, and a clean, responsive interface.

A fully functional app that uses APIs to suggest book recommendations, create user profiles, CRUD operations for the books added.

Background

Traditional book clubs lack interactivity and customization, especially for technical audiences. Our goal was to make discovering and discussing books seamless, intuitive, and rewarding for developers.

Research & Planning

Conducted research into developer reading habits and preferences. Identified pain points such as lack of curated technical content, outdated UIs, and absence of community engagement. Defined core user personas and outlined key platform features: recommendations, discussions, and membership tiers.

Design & Prototyping

Created wireframes and interactive prototypes focusing on accessibility, clean layouts, and responsive design. Iteratively tested and refined UI/UX with potential users to ensure intuitive navigation and a modern aesthetic.

Testing & Optimization

Tested responsiveness and performance on multiple browsers and screen sizes. Collected user feedback to optimize animations, improve content discovery, and polish the final design for a seamless experience.
